First off, with this being another Sunday game BYU was missing 85% of their roster due to religious objections. Second, Coach TStep was under the impression week five games in the NDL were determined by punt ad kick return yardage. Had someone explained this at the beginning of the game the score may not have been 42-24. Coach Dopesoap played into this all game encouraging BYU to give up yards in bunches. Coach Dope with the ever reassuring "I got you buddy ole pal." The game was hampered by BYU's inability to catch the ball. They were only cited for five drops but most were in critical junctures of the game.
