Another day, another turnover for the Bobcats. With 4 interceptions on the day , 2 for return touchdowns. The Bobcats once again shoot themselves in the foot after a great performance by all world Mahldi who amassed over 200 yards of offense. Their defense once again though was shredded when it mattered most. They were able to put some sacks on the board, forcing the Wolves in 2nd and 3rd and long, but it didn't matter with how bad the secondary played.

Another last minute score, another victory for the Arkansas State Red Wolves as they defeat the Texas State Bobcats 45-42. This was a wild back and forth game that saw a barrage of points scored in under a minute in the 3rd quarter.
Quarterback Jaylen Raynor had his best outing of the season as he completed 18 out of 28 passes for 407 yards and 4 touchdowns. He got over two early interceptions and settle down to lead the Wolves. The Wolves had to survive a god like performance from Bobcats Ismail Mahdi as he rolled up 143 yards in both rushing and receiving and 5 touchdowns.
In the 3rd quarter with Bobcats leading 21-14. the floodgates opened at the 2:27 mark and they closed at the 1:38 mark with the score being tied at 35-35. It started with a 54 yard touchdown pass to Mahdi. Then after an incompletion, Raynor hit Reagan Ealy (5-210-2 touchdowns) for a 75 yard touchdown. The next play for the Bobcats' quarterback threw a quick screen pass, but was intercepted by Justin Hodges and returned for a 29 yard touchdown. The very next offensive play. Mahdi goes sweep left made one cut and went 77 yards touchdown. The final touchdown came on the Wolves first offensive play, tailback Ja' Quez Cross (13-143- 1 touchdown) went 75 yards between the guards for a touchdown.
Both teams scored touchdowns to make 42-42 in the 4th quarter with 2:27 left in the game. Arkansas State drove into field goal range and and ran enough plays for the Bobcats to use their timeouts to save time for their offense. Kicker Aiden Ellison kicked a 31 yard field goal to take a 45-42 lead. The Bobcats took the ball at their 20 yard line. On their first play, quarterback Jordan McCloud throws his last of 4 interceptions. Linebacker Charles Willekes intercepts the ball and falls to the ground and the celebration started to begin. The Wolves ended the game in victory formation as the clock ran down to zero.
Coach Quest was happy with the win, but did state "I wouldn't be mad if we could win a game before the last minute"
