If you watched this one it wasn't an offensive show case by any means, However, it was a hard fought game throughout with no team leading by seven at any point. while there was some solid O performances the defenses rose to the occasion - on more than one occasion. The Cougs kicked the go ahead FG (24-21) with 2:22 left. With RB Ollie Gordan leading the charge (20/164/1) time was no issue. Okie State trusted Sr QB Alan Bowman and Alan threw a pick to close out the game. Well played game with the defenses on both side making plays.
Coach TStep "OSU slowed the ground game down a lot and put us in some early long downs - SS Ty Williams was all over the field with 15 tackles and two passes defensed - and with Ollie you just have to hold on and hope for help. Our kid (RB Mies Davis) came in and got some yardage while LJ Martin went out - 10 touches for 94 yards and two TD's - he saved us on O and got the first down to let us hit the victory formation."
GG Coach practicesafesacks - mic it up so we can talk behind Keg's back next time.
