Temple started with the ball and a costly turnover allowed Tulsa to score quickly with ease against the defense after starting in temple territory. The defense of Tulsa was playing amazing against Temples run game. The two headed backfield has been eating defenses apart the whole season but not against Tulsa. After not being able to get the run game going Temple seemed shut down and were at a 14 point disadvantage. Temples defense was able to bring the Owls back into the game when all hope was lost and Eljefebigrump was sobbing on the sideline watching his undefeated record look like it was coming to the end. 6 turnovers created from the defense getting 6 interceptions and 2 defensive touchdowns allowed temple to remain undefeated and come back and win in this dogfight of a game.
6 costly interceptions were the reason why Tulsa blew a 14-0 lead to undefeated Temple in Philadelphia. Cardell Williams had arguably his worst game after being spotted 14 points and the Tulsa defense could not make stops when needed, leading to the loss. Special teams were also an issue with Tulsa missing 2 FGs that could have ultimately given them the win.
Back to the drawing board for Coach County after falling to 2-1 in conference play. Confident that they can beat Temple if their paths cross in the Conference Championship game.
