In a Big 12 Conference rivalry matchup for the Saddle Trophy, TCU picks up the win. TCU came out fast, taking advantage of a Texas Tech turnover and getting out to a 14-0 lead. Tech would fight back, scoring a touchdown on a 1 yard run. The rest of the first half was all Horned Frogs with Cam Cook scoring 3 times in the first half. The score at half was 28-7 and it looked like the Horned Frogs could coast the rest of the game.
The Red Raiders had different plans, coming out and taking advantage of an RPO and picking off the pass, running it back for a 43 yard touchdown. The Horned Frogs bounced back and kept control of the rest of the game, with the final being 45-14.
Cam Cook ended with 22 rushes for 187 yards and 4 touchdowns, an 8.5 yard average! That made second down very manageable throughout most of the game.
Really no words for this one. TCU mixed it up beautifully. TT turned the ball over 8 times!!! Practice doesn’t make perfect. Feeling good TT just started throwing picks. TCU took advantage!
