The huskies were overmatched in the game versus ball state. Hampton managed under 200 yards passing and three costly interceptions.

The running game never got started as Brown had 9 receptions for 32 yards.

Turnovers made the difference with Ball State getting 3 takeaways and protecting the ball on the offensive end. Kiael Kelly threw for 227 yards, while Ball State rushed for 123 on the ground. Ball State got out to a big 35-0 lead In the first half, before NIU responded back with 10 unanswered.
