The Hawkeyes were provided with some bulletin board material right before kickoff tonight. The Hawkeyes, who now sit 8-2, have been Ranked in the top 20 all season. Their 2 losses are to opponents currently in the top 10, Yet they were told by Mr. Massey that they are the 39th best team in the nation.
The defense seemed to take the news the most personal as they came out and forced 8 turnovers. HB Leshon Williams didn't seem to appreciate it either, as he came out fired up rushing for a career best 234 yards and 4 TDs.
When asked about the Massey rankings that came out right before kickoff, Coach Wildes said, "We can't control the cpu, we can only control how we play, and right now we are only focused on our next opponent, University of Maryland."
Badgers showed vast improvement while coming up short in today's game! Wisconsin played their best ball while playing on the road at Iowa where its tough to play. Chez Mellusi had his best game this season with 242 yards rushing on 12 rushes. Bryson Green had 32 yards receiving to lead the badgers. QB Tyler Van Dyke had 3ints with no touchdowns. Coach Wave said "he was proud of his team today and especially how Chaz ran the ball. Turnovers just killed our chances but it's a learning curve"
