3 in a row! After a rough start to the season for Hokies Coach Neal has this team rolling and hopefully a shot at the ACC title game. Behind a balanced offense and a defense that had a strong second half after the poor first half showing the Hokies were able to defeat Clemson 42-28. Lyrin Drones threw for 4 TDs and Bhayshul Tuten had 135 yds rushing including a 75 yard TD run to power the offense. The defense was lead by Senior MLB Sam Brumfield who had 8 tackles including 2 TFL and Senior SS Jalen Stroman who had and interception in the 4th quarter to help prevent the Tigers from coming back. The Hokies have a much deserved bye week 12 before the final block of the regular season opens next week. Coach Neal hopes to finish strong.
The Hokies and Tigers just kept scoring. In the end the Hokies used a late game int and drive to seal a win vs. Clemson.
The Tiger defense was non existent in this game. It was overheard in the locker room that both coaches were yelling and the environment was extremely tense. Up on the podium the coach assured everyone its nothing but the competitive juices in each and everyone us.
In a scheduling oddity, Clemson will finish their ACC slate with a visit from Louisville who was scheduled to play last Saturday.
GG and GL rest of the way
