The Boilermakers played host to the Lions of Penn State in this Big Ten Conference showdown.
The first play of the game set the tone for the Lions. A fumble by Singleton setting up Purdue at the Lions 25. Purdue would score from 21 yards out on the third play to go up 7-0.
The Lions would shake off the fumble and march down the field scoring from 11 yards out on a stop route. 7-7
Purdue would get rolling with a solid drive but a drop forced them to take 3 with a 37 yard field goal. 10-7
Penn State would come back with a drive of their own and punch it in from the 3 to go up 14-10.
After Purdue was forced to punt the Lions put together a two minute drill that looked like points but the Star corner from Purdue Markevious Brown would under cut the sideline pass.
3rd quarter would open with Purdue taking up 4 and a half minutes but having to settle for 3 after taking a sack on 3rd down. 14-13.
First play for the Lions was another fumble giving Purdue the ball back at the Lions 28.
Just like after the first fumble, Purdue would score on the third play. They would miss the XP to make it 19-14.
The Lions would again shake off the fumble and break off a big run of 58 yards to go back up 21-19.
The Lions defense would get a pick on the first Purdue play and the offense would settle for a 48 yard field goal to go up 24-19.
Purdue would get a deep 75 yard bomb and get tripped up at the one. They would punch it in a few plays later to take the lead back. After converting the 2pt play the score was 27-24.
Penn State would drive down to the Purdue 22 but an ill advised force over the middle resulted in a pick.
The very next Purdue play was a 74 yard sweep run from Mockobee who was untouched, putting Purdue up 34-24.
Penn State would drive down to the Purdue 37 but star corner Markevious Brown would under cut the cross and take it to the house essentially sealing the game.

The Boilermakers continue their home win streak with a 41-24 score.
A fumble on the first play for the Nittany lions, the Boilermakers were able to take over with very favorable field position. Capitalizing on that position, Hudson Card was able to find CJ Smith on a drag route for a touchdown. The Nittany Lions were able to have short term memory, heading down the field on an 11 play 4 minute drive for a touchdown. A Boilermaker field goal and then a Nittany Lion touchdown led to a 14-10 lead.
The Boilermakers were able to get another field goal near the start of the 3rd, putting them down 14-13. Another costly Nittany Lion fumble led to positive field position for the Boilermakers once again, who were able to capitalize on a touchdown pass to Andrew Sowiniski. However, Porath missed the PAT, the first extra point miss of the season for the freshman kicker.
The Nittany lions were able to get a long touchdown run, then pick of Card for favorable field position. The Nittany Lions were able to go up 24-19. Shaking off the previous pick, Hudson Card was able to get a 75 yard deep shot to CJ Smith.
With the game very close, running back Mockobee was able to get a 74 yard running touchdown to ice the game.
The Boilermakers travel to Ohio State in week 11 against an undefeated Ohio State team.
