Columbia, South Carolina - The Missouri Tigers picked up another critical SEC victory tonight, defeating the Gamecocks of South Carolina 38-7 in a game which was called early in the fourth quarter due to severe weather in the area. The Tigers and Gamecocks were locked in a tight one in the first half, as Missouri was able to take a 10-7 lead into the break. In the second half however the Tigers roared to life, scoring 28 unanswered points to walk away with the the victory. On offense running backs Nate Noel and Marcus Carroll combined for 4 rushing scores while quarterback Brady Cook did his best to take what the Gamecocks gave him and keep the Tigers moving the ball down the field. On defense the Tigers were simply suffocating, forcing 5 turnovers (4 interceptions and 1 fumble recovery). Cornerback Toriano Pride turned in his best game of the season, totaling 3 tackles and 2 huge interceptions. "This was a big test on the road for us," said coach McDonagh at the post game press conference. "To come in here and and play the way we did was a testament to our program." Up next for the Tigers is a trip to Starkville to take on the Bulldogs of Mississippi State.
