Owls go streaking
Article By: The Owls survived an OT thriller against Sam Houston tonight. Lead by a bend and only partially break defense and an opportunistic offense the Owls won their second in a row. Sam Houston had some players suspended for the first half that helped the Owls take a 14-7 lead but they came back on a mission in the second half. The KSU student body was heard chanting “We want Mizzou” to which Coach Brand quickly said that ain’t happening again. GG James and #11 will haunt me!
Two coaches saved by OT?
Article By: It's probably fair to say it's been a rough season for both coaches in today's game. Shoot, I stopped doing Leon articles after the 3rd (of 6 or 7?) non-mic games that I just wanted to be over. That never happened in the past.
This game, I didn't want to be over. And, it didn't end after regulation, as it had an encore in the way of OT.
I realized I overlooked setting my depth chart, and didn't care, til it was clear at halftime it was going to be a slugfest. Shoot, I even discovered a player with not great looking attributes (so always moved down the depth chart) that wrecked the OL of the Owls like they were Tootsie Pops. Too bad it's the last game of the season.
In the end, we both had a great time, and are looking forward to an OOC game next season. I wish all games (or at least over 50%) were like this one. Hopefully some win at all costs guys get some feedback in their Coaches Reports that help them adjust their play style for season 2 of the reboot.
Coach Carman is going sailing tonight and will going to commune with some fungi, and we'll see how he feels after. He's also crossing the Atlantic from Nov 17th to Christmas, where 12-16 yard drop backs would send his opponents off a plank (but he can't play at all, during that time).
