In a hard-fought Mountain West Conference clash in Laramie, the Boise State Broncos defeated the Wyoming Cowboys 28-14. Boise State came out strong, showcasing their high-powered offense and disciplined defense.

The Broncos took control early, scoring two touchdowns in the first quarter. Wyoming's defense struggled to contain Boise State's dynamic playmakers, and the Cowboys found themselves trailing 14-0 by the end of the first half.

Wyoming responded in the third quarter, capitalizing on a turnover forced by their defense. Running back Harrison Waylee powered his way into the end zone from 12 yards out, cutting the deficit to 14-7. The Cowboys' home crowd came alive, hoping for a comeback, but Boise State quickly extinguished those hopes.

Boise State's offense struck again with a methodical drive capped by a 20-yard touchdown run from running back Ashton Jeanty. The Broncos extended their lead to 21-7, and their defense continued to stifle Wyoming's offense.

Wyoming's quarterback, tried to rally his team late in the game, leading a 75-yard drive that ended with a touchdown pass to wide receiver Alex Brown. This brought the score to 21-14 with just under five minutes remaining. However, Boise State's offense proved too much for the Cowboys to handle. They sealed the victory with a final touchdown drive.

Despite a valiant effort, Wyoming couldn't overcome Boise State's balanced attack and fell 28-14.

Laramie, WY – In a convincing performance that set the tone for the Mountain West Conference season, the Boise State Broncos cruised to a 28-14 victory over the Wyoming Cowboys. The Broncos' offense, led by quarterback Malachi Nelson, controlled the game from start to finish and avoided blowing a lead late with ball control offense and opportunistic defense.

Nelson who seemingly has come into his own during conference play, completed 10 of 13 passes for 166 yards and a touchdown. His efficiency was complemented by a strong rushing attack, led by Ashton Jeanty, who carried the ball 19 times for 212 yards, which included a game-clinching 72 yard dagger that ended any comeback hopes for the cowboys.

The Broncos' defense was equally impressive, limiting the Cowboys to just 302 yards of total offense. Boise State forced a turnover and recorded a sack, disrupting Wyoming's rhythm throughout the game. Despite giving up a late score, a timely interception from OLB Mike Notarianni in the 4th coupled with Jeanty's big dagger run kept the Broncos in control, and punched their ticket to the MWC Championship.

With this victory, Boise State has positioned themselves as a frontrunner in the Mountain West Conference as predicted in the preseason. Their balanced offense and solid defense make them a formidable opponent for any team they face. Coach Roc seems to have found his rhythm after an exceptionally mid out-of-conference performance. The true test comes next week against a top 10 juggernaut Oregon St.

The Boise AD has remained committed to Coach Roc, however, Coach Roc may realize that he's not built to coach the farmboys out in Boise. Time will tell come this offseason.
