On a regular season of highs and lows, the Bobcats finish on a low, turning the ball over 4 times, 2 of which results in touchdowns. Texas State saw an early lead, 14-0 get wiped out by a blown coverage and a wide open WR to bring the game to 14-7, then it was down hill from there. Mahdi saw runs of 75. 51, 40, 30, and 23 though, with 7 broken tackles and 3 touchdowns on the day, to go along with his 300 yards on the ground, he was bouncing off defenders the whole day. But once again, turnovers prove to be costly for the Bobcats.

Jaguars End Season with Explosive 56-41 Victory Over Texas State Bobcats

In a thrilling season finale, the University of South Alabama Jaguars emerged victorious with a 56-41 win over the Texas State Bobcats at Hancock Whitney Stadium. Freshman quarterback Gio Lopez showcased his potential in spectacular fashion, delivering five touchdowns in a game that had fans on their feet.

Lopez’s primary target, wide receiver Jamaal Prichett, was nearly unstoppable throughout the night. Prichett hauled in over 170 receiving yards and accounted for four of Lopez's five touchdowns, torching the Bobcats' defense with his precise routes and big-play ability.

The Jaguars’ defense also played a critical role in the win, creating four key turnovers that shifted the momentum at crucial points. The unit grabbed two interceptions and recovered two fumbles, keeping the Bobcats at bay when it mattered most.

South Alabama's season ended on a high note, with their offensive firepower and defensive takeaways combining for a memorable victory in front of their home crowd.
