Tigers Maul the Sooners in Death Valley

Article By: bucknut333

LSU hosted the Oklahoma Sooners this past Saturday with a potential spot in the first expanded College Football Playoff looming on the horizon. As has been the case all season long with the Tigers, the stellar Defense showed up to play right from the jump. They held the strong Sooner squad to only 17 total points in the game and 168 yds passing with 1 INT. Nussmeier and Williams took the game over on Offense by accounting for 475 yds and 6 TDs. RB Williams in particular had one of his strongest games of the season going with a 8.1 ypc average behind the stout offensive line. 45-17 Final in favor of the Tigers.

LSU now looks ahead to the final reveal of the College Football Playoff bracket. They were ranked #7 in the last CFP poll and should retain a similar spot as they finish out the season going 10-2 (only loses to #1 Kansas and #11 SC, both on the road). Staying at #8 and below will be crucial for the Tigers as hosting a 1st round playoff game in Death Valley, the #1 Toughest Place to Play, would be a huge benefit. The Tiger faithful should have their eyes on the Conference Championship games around the NCAA next weekend to see if any potential upsets push out the Tigers from their CFP ranking.

LSU dominates Sooners at home

Oklahoma was dominated from start to finish by the highly touted Tigers. LSU was able to completely dominated on the offensive end through running and passing. Oklahoma was not able to get any stops. LSU is well coached and had a great game plan.
