UNCS Falls to Rival NC State

Article By: vicktim7

The season may as well end up as it has gone. Despite the best defensive effort of the season, UNC was downed by turnovers, including two pick sixes to fall to the rival Wolfpack 21-14. The Wolfpack defense was great all day, completely shutting down the run game, inside and outside, forcing the Tar Heels to the air where there was yardage to be found. However, drives didn't end up in points due to great plays on the ball by the NC State defense to stop drives and score points for their team. After the game, the coach commented, "You just can't have self-inflicted wounds in this game. Credit their defense for forcing us to do somethings we don't normally like to do, but it's on us to get better. I'd like to see that through, but I may be coaching JUCO ball in Canada after this season."

No turnovers today

Pack Beats Heels

Article By: ICE

The Pack made the short trip to Chapel Hill to play the rivalry game. The offense would strike first after a solid drive and go up 7 after a run from RB Jordan Waters, that would be the only offensive score of the day as the defense would handle their business and score on two interception returns for 6 as the first one came in the 2nd quarter as Sean Brown took it in from 94 yards out and later in the fourth quarter Brandon Cisse took one in from 35 yards. UNC would strike from 77 yards out and again late from 14 yards out. The 6 interceptions on the day for UNC really made the difference in the game as NCSU was able to give up lots of yards, but not points to secure the rivalry win. Great Game Tim! Enjoyed talking and catching up for sure!
