NDL: S29W14 - Washington (24) at Oregon (30)

Eugene Miracle!

Article By: mtwasik

In a game where both defensives shined with a total of seven forced turnovers, fittingly the game was decided on the final play by a turnover as Nikko Reid picked off a Washington pass with two seconds left, and just managed to barely outrun the Huskies on the way to the end zone for a 62-yard pick six with no time left on the clock for a 30-24 victory in a key rivalry game.

Oregon actually opened the game with a pick six as well, but would throw five of its own, allowing Washington to take a lead in the 24-17 lead in the 4th. The Ducks kept throwing, and found the endzone on a Terrance Ferguson TD to tie the game at 4:03. After forcing a stop, Oregon got the ball back around the 2-minute mark and was driving to the endzone with Washington came up with a huge user pick. But on third down, Reed stepped in front of a pass and 62 yards later was standing in the end zone for the score.

The Ducks celebrating a big win

It's Over, and Ends with PIck 6

The fan base can finally talk about next season, as Coach Doodee's Washington Huskies lost in heartbreaking fashion to the Oregon Ducks.

Will Rogers threw a pick six to open the game, and to close the game on the final play, but was pretty sharp in between. Washington kept the game close in a really tough environment and even took the lead 24-17 in the third quarter, but Oregon mounted an impressive comeback on the strength of their running game.

Coach Doodee arrived late at a postgame press conference, and most people are assuming he was fired afterwards.

"We just came together as a team a little too late, and gollee we had a tough schedule. But I'm proud of the effort we put together, and I know whether it's me or someone else coaching here next year, there's something to build on."

Great game mtwasik. Good luck in the postseason!
