The Thundering Herd came to the island and left with babes and flowers as they outlasted the Rainbows 31-28
Hawaii was led by QB Brayden Schafer who slinged it for 466 yards on 25-31 passing throwing zero interceptions and three touchdowns. This effort was not enough to beat Marshall as the quick feet of RB Ethan Payne was too much too handle as he rushed for over 100 yards
A bright spot for the Rainbows was WR Steven McBride who caught 7 passes for 200 yards.
The Rainbows host Toledo in week 2.
