Minnesota opened their home schedule against UCF in week 2 of the season , sort of . They fall to the UCF knights 35-7 in a game that was never as close as it sounds (sense the sarcasm) . The knights punished the gophers on both sides of the ball and Minnesota could never get the ball moving on offense . They turned the ball over 5 times , all coming by way of interceptions. This was a huge learning moment for the team as they will head back to the drawing board and hope to gameplan better for their week 3 matchup !
UCF Knights are off and running, as they take down Minnesota on the road to open their NDL season.
The Knights took advantage of a hot first half of running and passing the ball, as KJ Jefferson showed he learned a thing or two at Arkansas the past few years. He was 12/13 passing and accounted for 3 TDs on the day.
Momentum was a huge factor, as after UCF got up earlier the defense was flying all over and making every play, accounting for 5 INTs on the day.
"It's a nice win for our team, we are getting a good feel for our running game and used to the playbook." said coach RB.
Good luck to coach UncleLBO the rest of the season and his Minnesota squad.
