Coach Quest's return after a 12 year hiatus did not go as plan as the Red Wolves blew a 21-7 lead to get shellac 56-28 in the non-conference opener to the Houston Cougars.
Quarterback Jaylen Raynor Started hot as he ran in and threw the first two touchdowns to take a 14-7 lead. Raynor then threw 5 interceptions the rest of the way. Jacquez Cross (111 yards rushing 2 td's-125 yards receiving) was a bright spot for the Wolves.
The Wolves' defense had some nice plays, but could not to stop the high flying Cougars attack.
