The Marshall Thundering Herd never could find their grip on things in Toledo. It looked promising to start the game with a 72-yard scoop and score, but things just went downhill from there. Both teams fumbled an insane amount along with Marshall throwing six interceptions under pressure. Marshall also looked out of sorts by missing several field goals / extra points. Overall, the Marshall Thundering Herd just didn't bring their "A" game tonight against the Toledo Rockets. Onto the next!
The Toledo Rockets remained undefeated after the win against Marshall. Marshall got the scoring started off a turnover by backup running back Kris Pechac. The coaches learned from that mistake on the next drive and let senior star Jacquez Stuart take all the carries that lead to a touchdown from Stuart. On the defensive side Cornerback Avery Smith stayed hot getting two more ints for the year. Senior captain Emmanuel McNeil-Warren also had a int in which he returned it for a touchdown. The Rockets will have a bye week coming up, which they will use for preparing for the Mac action on Tuesday nights.
