Boise State found themselves on the losing end of a 17-34 contest against Colorado. While there were glimpses of offensive firepower, particularly in the rushing attack where Ashton Jeanty showcased his breakaway ability with 182 yards and a touchdown, the Broncos' overall offensive output fell short. Quarterback Malachi Nelson displayed efficiency in the passing game, completing 71.4% of his attempts, but the offense struggled to generate explosive plays through the air.
Defensively, Boise State faced challenges in containing Colorado's offensive rhythm. Despite a solid effort from the defensive line, which recorded four tackles for loss, the Broncos were unable to create game-changing turnovers or generate consistent pressure. Standout WR Travis Hunter had his way with the Broncos D, and the Buffalos Run Game had the Boise St D on its heels the entire second half.
Ultimately, Colorado's more balanced and efficient offensive performance proved to be the decisive factor in the outcome. The Broncos must address areas of weakness on both sides of the ball as they look to rebound from this defeat. A closer examination of playcalling, execution, and defensive adjustments will be crucial in their preparation for upcoming challenges. The Broncos head east to face another explosive offense in the form of the upstart C-USA favorites the Liberty Flames.
A confused coaching staff for Colorado had trouble calling play's to the correct players in the first half as someone shipped the wrong player Jersey's. But we were still able to keep it close thanks to the arm of Sanders who ended the game with over 200 yards and 3 tds including a big one before the half to all world wr Travis Hunter.
Daylen Hayden tried to match Boise State's hb but that little guy was just a beast.
