with both teams looking to get a big win and looking to jump into conference play in the coming weeks, this game had emotions running wild for both teams. it was a slow start on offense for both sides as neither team could move the ball that well. with the only score in the 1st quarter came from a 32-yd FG from liberty to go up 3-0.
Both offenses found a rhythm going into the 2nd Quarter with Liberty kicking another FG by Nick Brown to go up 6-0. Boise state rushing attack lead by Ashton Jeanty pulled off an explosive 60-yd TD run to take their first lead of the game 7-6. Kaidon Salter and Resse Smith had great chemistry this game as Salter found Smith for a 31-yd and a 81-yd TD pass to take the lead back 20-6. Boise State was not done as they find 2 late scores on a 10-yd TD pass from Nelson and, as time expires, a 47-yd FG to take a 24-20 lead going into the half. What an exciting 2nd Quarter!
Boise State looked to carry the momentum from the end of the first half and into the 2nd half. With the only score coming from Ashton Jeanty on a 10-yd run early in the 3rd Quarter, it looked like Boise State was going to run away with this game. Liberty and the offense needed to find something quick, and Kaidon Salter delivers with a 39-yd TD pass to Tyson Mobley to keep them in the game. Boise State found themselves down late in the game 27-24 and drove down the field looking to come away with points, but Nelson ends up fumbling giving the ball back the Liberty.
Quinton Cooley puts a nail in the coffin in this game with a 21-yd TD run to help Liberty come away with a 34-24 win. Liberty is looking to continue this impressive performance heading to Death Valley to play LSU.

The Flames' offense proved to be more efficient, with quarterback Kaidon Salter completing 10 of 20 passes for 244 yards and three touchdowns. The rushing attack was equally potent, led by Quinton Cooley's 177 yards on 20 carries and one touchdown.
The Broncos struggled to find their offensive rhythm, particularly in the passing game. Quarterback Malachi Nelson completed only 7 of 14 passes for 90 yards, with one touchdown. The rushing attack, led by Ashton Jeanty with 18 carries for 151 yards, started hot, but could not consistently move the chains in the second half to keep up with the flames.
Liberty's defense was impressive, holding Boise State to just 24 points. The Flames recorded 52 total tackles, eight for loss, and notably two critical fumble recoveries that turned the tide of the game.
Overall, Liberty's balanced offensive attack, strong defense, and solid special teams play were too much for Boise State to overcome. BSU begins conference play with an extremely small margin of error for the remainder of the season. With games coming up against Utah St & Washington St.
