LSU Takes Care of Business against EMU

Article By: bucknut333

LSU hosted Eastern Michigan for their Week 4 matchup and landed a 52-20 final with the help of their stellar defense. EMU woke up the sleepy Tigers with a quick defensive stand and TD 2 plays later, but the Tigers answered back quickly with a 66-yd TD run from Senior RB Josh Williams. Standout Junior Harold Perkins Jr. led the defense with 2 INTs, 1 FF, 1 FR, and 1 TD while FS Jardin Gilbert also added a pick six himself. LSU found themselves on the fortunate side of a 5-1 turnover ratio which was the main factor in the victory.

***Disconnection in Q3 (2 min left) - both teams agreed to end game there.

LSU dominates at home

Article By: TEEwade

The first 2 drives of the game had a lot of people scratching their heads as EMU forced a punt then followed with 2 plays and a quick TD throw to Porter Rooks. It was exactly what you want to see on the road to start a game. LSU was quick to recover and assert their dominance. After tying the game 7-7, they never looked back.

The grit of EMU did shine to end the 1st half as they closed within 2 possessions on a thrilling TD score to end the 2nd quarter. With 5 takeaways (2 for touchdowns) LSU rode the wave to a 52-20 lead quickly in the 3rd quarter. A perfect game was needed to even stay close, and it was far from perfect in the 2nd half for EMU. One could argue the Eagles got a near perfect first half, but they still trailed an excellent coach bucknut and LSU by 2 scores as the Tiger's defense was flying around all night
