Palo Alto, Ca.-The Stanford Cardinal opened the season with a hard fought 21-7 win over the tenacious Bruins of UCLA. The two long tenured NDL vets battled back and forth early as the teams went into the locker room tied at 7-7 on the scoreboard. “My mantra to the team at halftime was just keep fighting. We were doing some things well, but not enough to put a good team away like we should. In the 2nd half, we did a better job of finishing drives and putting the ball in the end zone. As well as getting stops when we needed them.”, Coach Dray after the game. “Props to Coach Berokoff for having his boys well prepared just had a couple things gone wrong way or it could have been a different outcome.” Dray continued. The Cardinal have an early bye and then look forward to playing the Owls of Kennesaw State next week to continue the season.
Great job Mark glad we are back at it again! Good luck the rest of the season!
Palo Alto, CA — In a compelling display of football prowess, the Stanford Cardinal emerged victorious over the UCLA Bruins with a decisive 21-7 win at Stanford Stadium on Saturday. The Cardinal's dominant performance showcased their ability to control both sides of the ball and secured a significant win on their home turf.
UCLA head coach was not impressed with the team as they came out flat. Lots of work to be done to get back to normal. I have a strange feeling that my time will be a quick stay if this keeps on all year.
Was great to play an Old buddy who I have a long history with.
