After winning their last game, TCU came out against Michigan State feeling confident. TCU then proceeded to struggle on both sides of the ball. Michigan State controlled the clock, and the scoreboard. The Spartans' CBs did a great job on the edge keeping TCU's receivers from getting in open field and gaining YAC. The heart of the Spartans' defense shut down the rushing game, only allowing 24 rushing yards.
TCU has work to do and will continue grinding week in and week out.
On a beautiful day in East Lancing Sparty welcomed in the TCU Horned Frogs for what turned out to be one heck of a battle!
It was back and forth in the First half with neither team being able to break through the others Stingy defenses. With a first half score of MSU 10 to TCU's 3.
Two big plays on back to back possessions and continuing to hold contain on the edge where the big difference today.
Coming out of Half time Sparty tried some trickeration with a screen to their Full Back Hopper who took it 85 yards to the house on some dynamic, and frankly shockingly good, open field running.
The Defense held serve and forced a Punt and Stand out returner Alante Brown, not to be outdone by a Full Back put on a truly dazzling bit of open field running for a 82 Yard punt return that really broke the Horned Frogs Spirit.
TCU did not give up though finally breaking through the tough Sparty D they scored 17 points in the 3rd and 4th quarter. But a late TD by Tullis sealed Sparty's victory.
