Peden Stadium, Athens Ohio. Ohio Bobcats start the game strong with a great looking drive for a TD. They tired fast as the Jacksonville State Gamecocks Dominates the rest of the game and wins 31-14.
After surrendering what could have been a soul crushing drive to open the game, Jacksonville State responded.
The Ohio Bobcats would use nearly the entire first quarter to drive the field and score a touchdown to take control of the game and lead 7-0 but the Gamecocks fought back.
JSU took a 10-7 lead on a field goal from Rippa and held onto that lead after an Ohio field goal attempt clanked off the cross bar.
In the second half however, the big plays arrived. Jacksonville State would score three touchdowns, two of which came on plays of over 40 yards to control the second half.
The highlight of the game came after Ohio scored to cut the lead to 24-14 as UCONN transfer Zion Turner kept the ball on an RPO and sprinted 46 yards untouched to put JSU up for good at 31-14.
