Spencer Petras has another bad game today with 0 tds and 5 ints. Nothing was going right for Utah State from start to finish! Utah State Rb Rashul Faison only had 56 yards on the ground and Briggs had 11 yards. Leading receiver for the Aggies was the TE Jack Hestera who had 3 catches for 52 yards. Another game for Coach Wave that showed he has alot of work to do. The Aggies have two consecutive byes so that will give them time to think long and hard about the three loses and to fix their mistakes
Salt Lake City, UT (AP) - In a game that was all Utah from the outset, the Utes defense was the star of the show today, forcing 5 Aggie interceptions, 3 by CB Keenan Johnson, one he returned for a TD early in the first quarter.
The Utah defense was all over the Utah St QB from start to finish and he could be seen hobbling around for most of the second half after he was hit over and over again when he dropped back to pass.
The Utah offense, set up with multiple short fields, took care of the football with a dynamic running game that rushed for just under 200 yards and multiple TD runs.
Utah takes their 2-0 record on the road in Big 12 play next week when they travel to Arizona to take on the Wildcats. Coach packsy knows they need to shore up some blocking up front on offense and with the high powered Arizona offense, the defense must be ready to do battle. GG coach!
