LA - The Wolverines ventured to So Cal to take on the Trojans and they came out strong. UM would grab an early7-0 lead on a 60 yard run by Amorion Walker (remember the name people). USC would be down 21-10 at the half (two more Walker TD's - five and 42 yard TD catches). The lone bright spot for USC was WR Zach Branch who reeled in a 61 yard TD pass with 39 seconds left in the half,
The LA Memorial Coliseum came to life in the third as the SC D added six on Garrison Madden's 54 yard pick six to cut the lead to 21-16. The UM O would use a methodical drive that ended with another Walker TD reception - this one from eight yards to make the final 28-16.
Coach TStep "We had some weather issues where we had to get the kids off the field - safety first and all that noise to appease the parents and well to do fans. Our guys struggled to keep tabs on Walker - he has some wheels and we got beat far too many times. We need to regroup against Wyoming Tuesday night,"
Michigan opened their B1G Ten Play with a 28-16 road victory over the USC Trojans. The Wolverines Offense was led by Wide Receiver Amorion Walker. Walker scored all four of the Wolverines touchdowns on the day, totaling 356 total yards on Offense. Alex Orji had a sufficient day throwing the ball completing 16 passes for 334 yards, 3 touchdowns and 1 interception.
The Trojans were a tough opponent, despite 3 interceptions Coach TStepp was able to move the ball very well in the air and find the open holes.
