Blazer Head coach, @coachjackb, told his team all week to take this team seriously or they will get beat. This was evident in the first half of Navy vs UAB this weekend. Navy had the triple option rolling, going up 14-7 at the end of the half with a couple of long runs and control of the clock. UAB offense, led by senior quarterback Jacob Zeno, struggled to get anything going, scoring only one touchdown on a short 4th down throw to score from the one yard line. In the second half. Lee Beebe Jr showed some signs of life, breaking free a couple of times and scoring 2 touchdowns. Jacob Zeno had an opportunity to lead the Blazer offense to another late game victory, after getting the ball on the 30 yard line with 3 minutes left. After failing to convert on 3rd down and 3, the Blazers were forced to punt it back to Navy with only a minute and and half left in the game. On Navy's first offensive play an attempted pitch in the triple option ended in catastrophe as the ball hit the ground and was scooped up by Defensive End Kendall Johnson for a touchdown. Although @coachjackb was disappointed in his teams inability to begin the game with intensity, he was proud with how they handled adversity and came out on top in the end.
