STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA - AP

What a game tonight in the Big XII. Defensive battle that proved difficult to score in for both squads. The Wildcats and Cowboys both had similar game plans and were able to execute those for the most part. Ground and pound to soften up the secondaries and exploit chunk passing plays. The Cowboys struck first building a 3-0 lead right as the second quarter began. KSY was able to answer closer to half with a TD and get the ball back. Johnson orchestrated a drive to give the Wildcats a 14-10 lead late in the game. Oklahoma would get stopped deep in Wildcat territory and opt for a FG to be down by 1. KSU pushed the ball down the field to set-up a FG but the kick would go wide and give the Pokes a chance at a game winning drive, down just one point. The Cowboys moved the ball but the clock ticked and they had a 51 yard attempt with just second left. The Wildcats skipper tried to ice them with a timeout which proved effective as the ball sailed far right and allowed the Cats to escape with a quick kneel after the miss.

Great game bud, Good luck the rest of the way.
