The Hoosiers traveled to Maryland to face off with the TERPS in a Big 10 week 5 battle. Indiana took the opening kickoff and ate up 4 mins off the clock as they went on a 14 play 87 yard drive all the way to Maryland's 1 yard line before being stoned at the 2 inch line on 4th and goal. The terps would the rip off 14 straight points to force Indiana to play catch-up for most of the game. The Hoosiers would cut the score in half at 14-7, before Maryland would score the next 24 to take a 38-7 lead. Indiana would add a last score on a pass from Rourke to Price. Price leads the Nations in catches as he seems to be the lone bright spot for coach Ank and the Hoosiers
