The Falcons of Chair Force traveled to the Naval Academy today and the game couldn't have started off any worse, they got the ball, got stopped and the first play of the game say Navy FB, Alex Tecza run the ball 59 yards untouched to the house. Air Force would answer back on a solid drive and QB would keep the option himself and take it 8 yards to tie the game. 2 minutes later, Air Force would get their first of three defensive scores as Are'an Burr would return the interception 29 yards to take a 14-7 lead. Air Force would add one more before the half as Busha would score on a QB counter from 4 yards out. Navy made it more interesting just before half time as Alex Tecza would score from 2 yards out.
In the second half Navy would get the ball to start, punt it away and Air Force would throw an interception first play which led to an 18 yard run for Navy and a tie game. The play that broke the tie came on a 64 yard scoop and score from Air Force. Navy would find the endzone again with Alex Tecza from 1 yard out, but then the Air Force defense would force another scoop and score from 32 yards out from DL Aidan Swartz. Up 7 and on Navy's 18 yard line, Air Force elected to go for it on 4th and one and John Busha would again keep the pitch and take it in from 18 yards out to make the final 42-28.
Great game Code_one and best of luck the rest of the way!
In the annual Air Force-Navy Commander-In-Chief battle Navy blew a golden opportunity that started with a 59 yard TD scamper by FB Alex Tecza on the first offensive play of the day by the Midshipmen. This was all for not though as Navy gave the tough Air Force Option game 5 turnovers enroute to a 42-28 loss. When not giving Air Force, the Navy offense move the ball efficiently for over 290 rushing yards from their 3-headed monster attack of Tecza (11 Car, 71yds, 3TDs), RB Brandon Chatham (6 carries, 101 yds), and RB Eli Heidenreich (14 carries, 127yds, 1Td).
If the turnovers can be corrected, the season looks bright for the Mids. great game coach, good luck the rest of th way, beat Army!
