In an exciting matchup, Penn State triumphed over UCLA with a final score of 27-10.

UCLA started strong, putting up 10 points in the first quarter, but Penn State quickly regrouped.
The first quarter, Penn State jumped out to a 10-0 lead.

The second quarter was Penn State's chance to make a comeback and they did, scoring 10 points of their own in the second quarter to head to half time with the score 10-10.

The 3rd quarter Penn State would start to get their offense moving the ball a little and scoring 14 points to take the lead 24-10.

The 4th quarter, Penn State tried a 54 yard field goal which bounced off the cross-bar and was successful.

The Nittany Lions scored 27 unanswered points to secure the victory 27-10.

Their defense tightened up, while the offense found its rhythm, showcasing a balanced attack that ultimately led to a convincing win.

Good game and good luck the rest of the way coach JamesTheCarMan!

UCLA loses after gritty 1st half

Article By: jamesthecarman

UCLA's Hawaiian speedster, Titus Mokiao-Atimalala, got the scoring books open with his first punt return TD of the season, after threating a few times. His 76 yard return started out on the left side of the field, and he wasn't ever more than 4 yards from the sideline. He put in some good (non special moves, like spins/jukes) and used spacing and pace to take it to the house.

After Penn State turned it over (for the first of 4 times), UCLA got a FG to pull ahead to 10-0, and make Niddler and the Niddler Lions really sweat.

That was the last of the scoring for UCLA, however. They went 0-8 on 3rd downs, and couldn't capitalize on their 4 interceptions, only getting 3 points from them.

Penn State drew it tied before half time, thanks to a long draw, and a bad deep zone coverage, on 2 plays with about 10 seconds to go when the drive started.

Penn State got the ball, and never looked back in the 2nd half.

UCLA did keep it interesting, but there was a goal line stand late in the game that the Bruiins lost the ball on 4th down, after a brilliant show of speed down the sideline from Sturdivant (unavailable in the stats, so I think he's Stewart).

UCLA's defense played a really solid in the 1st half, but the 5 dropped passes (2 on the sidelines for first down) didn't help the Bruins defense stay off the field.

Good game Niddler, and good luck the rest of the way!
