Georgia took to the road to face off against the Tigers of Auburn in the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry game today. This game was a tale of two halves, as the Dawgs caused an INT on Auburn's first drive and on offense took the ball in to go up 7-0 in the first quarter. Auburn came back and answered on a long TD run to tie the game up, but Georgia would quickly answer back again to go up 14-7. After another turnover you would see the Bulldogs extend their lead to 21-7. Georgia took the foot off the breaks too soon as you would see them hit a quick 3 and at the beginning of the second half and Auburn would take advantage and score on a 4 min drive to bring it within one score. UGA however was able to go back up again and held on to end the quarter. Auburn would get one more TD in the 4th but then it was a little to late as the Bulldogs kneel it out and walk away with the win. "I can't say that I'm happy with our performance today. We got up big and let up way too soon. We can't afford to get relaxed especially in someone else's house. We almost gave this one away and this is a lesson we will definitely learn from." said Coach Cane after the game.
