Virginia came in to this one looking to find themselves what they found was WR Chris Tyree. Tyree went off for 272 - 2 TDs. The defense was once again horrible. Louisville went up and down the field without much resistence.

The Louisville Cardinals hosted the Virginia Cavaliers in what turned out to be quite the entertaining game. While the cavs would come out and put up fireworks on offense, including 272 yards and 2 tds from Chris Tyree, it was the Cardinals that came out on top, 56-36.
Quarterback Tyler Shough was able to keep the uva defense off balance as he threw for 344 & 4 tds. Complimented by running back Don Chaney going over the century mark on 25 carries for 108 yards.
The Louisville defense would get in on the scoring act as well as they returned 3 ints for touchdowns including two by senior Corey Thornton.
“We were fortunate today to make enough plays to counter their explosive passing game. We tried to play a little keep away by holding a 7 minute advantage in time of possession but we knew we were going to have to make some plays of our own in the passing game to maintain the lead. Tyler did a good job finding open guys, and Don and the oline gave us solid balance so as not to get one dimensional. Coach TheRealDray after the game.
