Air Force came into this game riding a huge rivalry win over Navy, but fell flat on their face in this game as they were beaten in their own game plan and that was to run the ball. New Mexico came in and had their running back with over 200 yards on the ground and they would capitalize on turnovers including recovering a fumble in the endzone that the Air Force running back ran directly over and wouldn't pick it up while he was all alone.
