After a rough start to the season and going 0-3 in non conference the Sun Belt conference has treated the Herd much better as they improved to 2-0 in the SBC with a 42-14 domination of Georgia State in Atlanta. The Herd took an early 35-0 lead before letting up on the gas for the final score of 42-14. Marshall was able to get the backups some much needed playing time as well as rest for the 1st team in this game. AJ Turner had 3 TDs for the Herd who are now 2-3 overall and will play Georgia Southern to close out this block later this week.
