Jam Miller turned in his best performance of the season

Alabama Escapes Against Tennessee, 31-24

Article By: BIGmike

Tuscaloosa, Alabama - The Alabama Crimson Tide picked up a huge conference win today, defeating the Volunteers of Tennessee 31-24. The Crimson Tide offense looked like a well-oiled machine in the first half, totaling over 300 yards of offense and 4 touchdowns to take a commanding 28-3 lead into the break. In the second half however, momentum shifted, and the Volunteers dug down deep to make it a one touchdown lead with just over 2 minutes to play. Facing a third and short the Crimson Tide elected to pass the ball, and it looked as though Jalen Milroe was going to end up on the turf, but he managed to shrug off the sack attempt and scramble for 13 yards sealing the victory for the Tide. Running back Jam Miller was presented the game ball for his performance, totaling 252 yards (201 rushing, 51 receiving) and 3 touchdowns. "We need this one after last week," said coach McDonagh at the post-game press conference. "To pick up a win against a hated rival in front of your home crowd and in that fashion? That's why we play this game." Up next for the Crimson Tide is a trip to Columbia, Missouri to take on coach McDonagh's former team the Tigers.
