The Charlotte 49ers finally gave their fans something to smile about after a recent skid. The game started out as usual as of late, with Navy taking the lead early. Things looked worrisome before the 49ers were able to tie it back up with a pass from QB Max Brown to TE Colin Weber.
The second quarter had some explosive moments, with 78 & 48 yard touchdown passes from QB Mack Brown to WR Jarius Mack. Navy fought back and had it at 21-18 going into the fourth. However, the 4th held nothing but success for Charlotte as they controlled the pace of the finish, capping the game off with a 52 yard FG and taking the win 34-18.
Charlotte looks forward to Memphis next week, a tough test.
Navy could only muster 195 total yard of offense in their 34-18 loss in Charlotte. In a very clean game that one saw one turnover in the whole game, Charlotte took a 21-10 lead into half and closed the game out 13-0 in the fourth quarter while the Navy comeback was short lived from an 8 point 3rd quarter.
