A back and forth battle all game long came down to the 4th quarter with Air Force not able to stop the CSU Sheeps offense at all. When the Falcons started moving the ball and about to take the lead, they gave up their first fumble of the game and the play would prove to be crucial as the Rams would take the ball down and extend the lead to two scores and bury any hope that the Falcons had of pulling off the game.
Let's be honest though, when you give up 500+ yards of offense, get two pick 6's and still can't win the game, that's an issue and Air Force is going to have to improve and improve quickly as we are set to play Army for the last game of the Commander in Chief Trophy here this coming week.
This game came down to the running of Kobe Johnson who put the Rams on his back in this one.
Johnson had many big runs throughout the whole game, none bigger than one in the first quarter for 63 yards.
Airforce was shutting down the Rams passing attach but the Running combination of thunder, Morrow, and Lightning Johnson was too much for them to overcome in the end.
In a back and forth affair down three the Falcons were driving and inside the Rams 30 with 3:53 to go in the 4th when disaster struck and the Falcons made a bad pitch that was recovered by the Rams.
The Rams promptly took the ball down the field to go up 10 points>
It was a hard fought game by both sides! GREAT GAME coach ICE!
