Central Michigan won their game against Miami (OH) today by a score of 34-0 in what was an incredibly snowy contest which affected both teams. Marion Lukes was clearly slowed down by the inclement weather and Miami's QB Blake Gabbert had some errant passes which resulted in three CMU interceptions.
The bright spot for the Chips was quarterback Bert Emmanuel who dashed through the snow to a tune of 111 yards on the ground and two touchdowns. It was an impressive display by the young man from the much warmer state of Texas. Coach FiredUpChip had the following to say about the game "this was a nice win for the guys before we head into a block where we will have to face our bitter rivals in Western Michigan and a consistently tough opponent of Northern Illinois. We need to stay sharp and remember the pounding that coach Jiggy JRod game us earlier in the year so we play our best in these last two regular season matchups."
Not much to say as this game was over early and neither sides of the ball had any answers. The RedHawks couldn't get their run game going and their pass game was as dismal as the weather. Coach Suddenblues could not be reached after the game as he was disgusted by the outcome of the game and his players efforts.
Silas Walter's looked to be the lone bright spot on the RedHawks defense as he had 10 total tackles and an INT. Kenny Tracey led the offense in yards with 63 yards rushing however, still wasn't his usual performance.
The RedHawks hope to recover from a rough loss!
