Pasean Wimberly had a career day in the return dept, 7 for 234 yards, with a 101 yard house call sprinkled in.
There were some standout plays made on defense today, and Bazelak was efficient at QB, but again, the theme under Drewwbacca is turnovers. Nothing else notable to speak on for the offense as Stewart was shutdown in the run game and though the ball was well distributed in the pass game, no one put up any eye catching stat line. Just no difference makers today.
BGSU made a few creative plays at opportune times today to keep it from getting out of hand. Ultimately though, it's still a loss and it's reached uncomfortable time on the BGSU campus.
The Toledo defense set the tone in the Rockets 13-point victory on the road at Bowling Green, as they did not allow a point in the first half while opening up a 17-point edge.
The Falcons would open the second half with a kickoff 101 yards to close within 10, and that seemed to jumpstart the home team as they would score a total of 29 second-half points. However, the Rockets answered every score with one of their own, including a 55-yard pass to Jerjuan Newton and a 67-yard play to Larry STephens with 4:57 left for a 39-22 points advantage to effectively seal the win.
