Jacksonville takes on liberty at home for a deciding game who goes to the conference championship.
First Half
Liberty took the ball down field in 3 minutes and smashed the ball down field. Darius Copeland 7 yard reception TD from Kaidon Salter.
Jacksonville answered back and got the ball down field and pushed the ball in with a Stewart TD
All liberty flames after this. Jacksonville had two bad option plays that resulted in turnovers. One was in the red zone on the one yard line. The other was around the opponents 30 yard line to take the breath away from the whole team.

Liberty at Jacksonville State was an intense matchup with eyes on the top spot of the conference.

First Half: Momentum Killer
The game kicked off with both teams looking to assert their dominance early on. Liberty started strong, with help from quarterback Kaidon Salter, the opening drive ended with a 7-yd pass from Salter to Darius Copeland to give Liberty an early lead. Jacksonville State responded with a slow and methodical drive of their own, that was later capped off with a 1-yd run by Tre Stewart. The first half was a battle of momentum, with both teams exchanging scores. The question was going to be, what team will make the first key mistake and who will gain the momentum?
As the 2nd quarter began, it looked like Jacksonville State was going to gain more momentum as they drove down the field inside the Liberty 5-yard line and looked to take the lead. The Flames defense stood tall and forced a fumble on the goal line to give the ball back to their offense. Liberty wasted no time and Salter found Tyson Mobley for a 30-yd touchdown pass to regain the lead. The Gamecocks looked to rebound after the crucial turnover on the last drive. on the ensuing drive, Liberty forced another turnover late in the half and had the ball in positive territory. Liberty had all the momentum going into halftime with a late score from Kaidon Salter to Donte Lee as time expired to take a 21-7 lead at the half.

Second Half: No Fight Left
The second half saw Liberty come out strong and Jacksonville State with no fight left. with more mistakes coming from Huff, Jacksonville state struggled moving the ball at times and dug themselves a deeper hole. Liberty's offense did not let up and looked to put the game away early in the third quarter. With big plays coming from the passing game Kaidon salter found the endzone 7-yards out to increase the lead to 28-7. Salter also set up Colin Karhu for a 23-yd Field Goal late in the quarter.
The ending to a terrific season for Jacksonville State was not what they had in mind, But Liberty had one goal in mind for this season, and thats to win a conference title. Liberty put an end to this game and an impressive game by Kaidon Salter when Salter found Quinton Cooley out of the backfield for a 31-yd touchdown pass to finish off the Gamecocks on the road.
Liberty looks ahead for a rematch in the conference championship game against Utep.
