In a classic Trap game moment the Rams got every bit that they could handle against a very stout passing attack out of the Wolf Pack today.
The Wolf Pack was trying to establish the run early but wasn't finding any holes to run through. In a great mid game adjustment though Coach UncleLBO switched to a quick passing attack and started shredding the Rams D! But with a few errant throws it became to much for the Pack to over come. Finishing the game with 5 interceptions.
Unfortunately for the Wolf Pack they could not slow down the Rams stout running game. Johnson finished with 3 total td's and over 200 all purpose yards.
It was tight game right up until the end when a game clinching pick six by the Rams put this one out of reach.
To the credit of Nevada they fought for 4 quarters but it wasnt enough to topple the high powered offense of Colorado state. Nevada mounted a late comeback but they were forced in to being a one dimensional football team and colorado state was able to drop back into zones and force 5 turnovers. Nevada is still looking to break into the win column
