In a defensive struggle between these two rivals the JMU Dukes hit two big passes in the first half giving them just what they needed to win this contest. RB George Pettaway went over 100 yards again and scored one TD. The JMU defense held in the second half keeping ODU from scoring. JMU did miss 2 fg attempts in the second half but was able to maintain the 2 score lead.

The inability to stop the pass caught up with ODU, as two long TD passes sealed the win for JMU.

Several ODU drives would begin well, and then stall at mid field…but the Dukes responded where ODU fell flat, with even a change at starting QB couldn’t provide much of a spark on offense.

GG hope to play again.
