BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS -- This one was over early.

After a stellar 57 yard kickoff return by WR Jaxson Lavender the SMU Mustangs were set up in prime scoring position and score they did.

HB Brashard Smith would cross the goal line early in the first quarter and K Collin Rogers' extra point actually turned out to be the game winner.

The reason for that was a swarming SMU defense that sniffed out screens, hunted down stretch runs, delivered huge hits all game and intercepted the ball as if they were the intended targets.

Late in the first quarter CB Jaden Milliner-Jones would intercept Castellanos and return it for a pick six as SMU found themselves up 21-0 in a blink of an eye.

The interceptions would keep pouring in and with a Duece Harmon interception at the end of the game, SMU would total TEN interceptions by SIX different SMU defensive backs.

The defensive performance was enough to put SMU ahead 34-0 before Boston College got on the board with a late touchdown.

SMU improves to 7-3, 5-1 with the win as the ACC Championship race comes down to its final weeks.
