BGSU hits 1-10, but shows true potential

Article By: Drewwbacca

SuddenBlues welcomed Drewwbacca into Yager satdium and the Redhawks hit the ground running. After a 10-0 first quarter, Drewwbacca was able to match wits with Sudden, and traded 3 TD's, 1 per quarter, each. The scoreboard read 31-21 at the end of the game, and that was a true reflection of the whole game. Always close, but BGSU was never a real danger to Sudden and the RedHawks.

Drewwbacca continues to show some promise as the season log slog in the basement continues. A consistent run game was something that was virtually non-existent in season 29 at Maryland, and showed glimpses for the first half of the season, but as the battle hardened squad has gelled, Terrion Stewart has taken off. He posted another 100+ yd day, 21/113. Stewart didn't find pay dirt today, on the ground or through the air, but he did help keep the Falcons competitive overall.

Connor Bazelak had an impressive day, minimizing the negative to just 1 INT, was relatively efficient, going 20/30/240yd/3TD, even managing to control the ball for +3 minutes, on T.O.P

Despite the good, there is still the negative. Sudden still posted 284 yards on the ground, and that's what I meant when I said it was always close, but essentially never in doubt. Sudden is a baller on the sticks. User D's like a maniac and hits you with a nasty run blitz on short yardage situations.

It was a pleasure playing sudden and trying to earn W number 2 on the season. Whether that is to be or not will have to wait for the season finale against a solid Ball State squad, and the real possibly that this is the end of Drewwbacca's short tenure in Bowling Green, OH.

Miami (OH) secures win #2 on the season!

Article By: SuddenBlues

The RedHawks took on a feisty Bowling Green team lead by coach Drewwbacca. The game where both coaches were looking for their 2nd win of the season, it was a very well played game by both teams. The RedHawks got the ball first and had back to back to back plays of over 10 yards, however they stalled and had to settle for a 42 yard field goal. Bowling Green went 3 and out and back to the RedHawks who didnt waste time to throw a INT, something that Gabbert loves to do! The Falcons were driving and had a 3rd and inches only to get stuffed like the Thanksgiving turkey and were forced to punt. The RedHawks then called on Brunson to take the ball 71 yards untouched to the house to put Miami (OH) up 10-0.

The 2nd quarter started out and the Falcons saw themselves in another 3rd and inches situation only to suffer the same fate as last time, STUFFED! The RedHawks got the ball back and were seeing tough run defense which led to McDonald to be wide open for another long receiving TD. Up 17-0 in the 2nd, coach Drewwbacca knew he had to get a score and his big stud of a TE, Fannin, made sure to capitalize with a score. As the Redhawks looked to keep up their scoring and was driving down the field another Gabbert INT special gave the Falcons the ball back and some hope.

To start the 3rd Quarter, QB Bazelak knew he had to lock it in and drive the Falcons down the field on an impressive drive to throw another TD. Now only up 17-14 the RedHawks had to lean on their best offensive player, Kenny Tracy, who did not disappoint as he scored from 59 yards out. Going into the 4th quarter the RedHawks were up 24-14 and was able to pick off Bazelak to limit the Falcons comeback chances. Kenny Tracy was able to add another score to put the game out of reach with the score 31-14. Bowling Green was able to score late, however it would not matter as the onside kick was not successful and the RedHawks held on to win an impressive game vs a feisty Bowling Green team.

We found coach SuddenBlues after the game where he praised Kenny Tracy on his impressive performance with over 200 yards in total and 2 TDs. He also made sure to rave about the physicality of his defense as they came up with key stops to contain the Falcons offense. Lastly, coach Suddenblues made sure to praise the gameplay of coach Drewwbacca and had nothing but great things to say about him. "Total class act and exactly what the NDL is all about, tough coach who plays to have fun like I do. Win or lose both coaches had a blast and I think this is a start of a OOC rivalry moving forward."

Good luck to coach Drewwbacca the rest of the way and see you next season! Great game!!!
