What started out as a great battle turned ugly in the 4th quarter: ECU pretty much ran the ball at will on Monday night in Bloomington Ind. The Pirates jumped up 14-0 before Indiana woke up... The Hoosiers would pull within 4 before half, but that's as close as they would get. With the game 20-10 in the 4th ECU picked off a Indiana pass ( 1 of 2 0n the night ) and returned it for a TD and pretty much ended the contest right there. Bright spot for Indiana was Myles Price who pulled in 10 catches on the evening for 99 yards.
Coming off a week 3 loss to Miami the ECU pirates got back to basics with the run game. Harris was kept in check against Miami and released his frustrations out on the Hoosiers defense, accumulating 186 rushing yards and 1 td while running with much purpose. Harris was able to spin out and break through defenders much of the game.
ECU jumped out to an early 14-0 lead before the IU offense woke up. IU was able to put up 10 points and ECU recorded a FG, making the halftime scorre 17-10.
ECU offense got stiffled in the the 3rd qtr and turned to their trusty FG kicker Andrew Conrad to add the only 3rd qtr points with a field goal.
ECU would pull away in the 4th qtr with another Brown-Murray interception for a TD and another Conrad field goal, his third of the day.
Another great game between veteran NDL coaches. Ank had the Hoosiers laying it on the line but fell short.

ECU is now 3-1 on the season and turns to conference play in Block 3 with UTSA and Charlotte up next.
