OSU defense was the name of the game. Coach Jason's old buddy Tyleik Williams was visiting him early and often, with 5 solo tackles, 8 total tackles, and 7 TFL's. The Buckeye defense swarmed to the ball and kept the Bears mostly in check.

Offensively the Buckeyes were efficient in the air and strong on the ground.

Good game Jason, best of luck the rest of the way with your woke nonsense!

Ohio State Escapes The Calgorithm

Article By: jasonuk

Ohio State defensive tackle Tyleik Williams staked claim to Cal's backfield, as his seven tackles for loss and multiple QB pressures were too much for the Bears to overcome in a 41-21 defeat on Friday.

Cal rushed for 158 yards on the day, but their terrific run game was held in check the first three quarters as Williams blew up everything the Bears tried. He hit Chandler Rogers on a pass in the third quarter that turned into a pick-6, a costly play that blew the game open and ended any hopes Cal had of keeping things interested. It was one of two interceptions the quarterback threw as he completed 16 of 27 passes for 200 yards.

One bright spot for the Bears was the play of WR Tobias Merriweather. The lanky receiver hauled in a deep 38-yd touchdown with a phenomenal leaping no-look catch. The play came on 4th and 3 in the second quarter with the Bears down 14-0, and cut the lead in half.

Merriweather ended with three catches for 86 yards. "I got single coverage on a corner and Chandler tossed it up there for me, and I was able to go make a play."

Defensively, the Bears missed numerous tackles and once again were carved apart in the passing game. Ohio State completed their first 12 passes and connected on all but two of their 18 attempts. Coach JasonUK said he's going to have to make some changes with the secondary, citing multiple poor performances. "I'm not sure what's going on but nobody seems to be where they should be, and we're going to look at some depth chart changes this week."

JasonUK also gave Ohio State a ton of credit. "We knew we were going to struggle with their defensive line, but that kid is a monster. Coach Seeit has an even better team than he had last season and I expect we'll see the Buckeyes in the playoffs again."

Cal moves to 2-1 on the season as they embark on a difficult stretch with games against Florida State and Miami.
