The Charlotte 49ers hosted Old Dominion University this past Saturday. Charlotte came into the game with a 4-5 record while ODU came in at 0-5. The first quarter was a stalemate, as neither team had success. In the second quarter RB Cartevious Norton ran it in to take a 7-0 lead, but that was the only score of the first half.
Things stayed defensive in the third quarter until a Max Brown used play action to hook up with Jairus Mack on a 6 yard pass. The fourth quarter saw Kyle Cunanan miss yet another field goal that would've given the 49ers a three possession lead. However, QB Max Brown showed his athleticism and took a 33 yard scramble to the house.
The 49ers will take on FAU next week as they look to become bowl eligible.
